23rd May 2005:
So, well, yes, OK, the story so far. Disentangling myself and DGG from the wreckage that was AOL is nearing completion. It all began back in November 2003 when the new AOL software began blocking incoming messages to
aforandy@aol.com, as a result of their faulty anti-spam measures. After a year of this I decided to get out of AOL, not least because orders to DDG had fallen off somewhat over the course of 2004. Since Christmas I have had a Utilities Warehouse broadband account, and more recently a new PC which this time we made from bits, since these seemed to be getting better reviews than systems. I have had a little trouble transferring everything over to a new PC/internet accout but finally things are beginning to come together.

14th March 2005:-
One piece of good gaming news I only picked up a few days ago is the repeal of the FSC customs surcharge on imports from America, which apparently occurred on 1st January. Sad about those Xmas orders then, unless they got delayed! I found this whole episode odd for two reasons. Firstly there were no sources of information about it that I could find -- though this means little -- and secondly one might think that an extra 5% rising monthly to14% on wholesale prices would have wiped out a lot of businesses, or at least reduced their sales massively. I guess we we can nip back to the Boulder and GMt Games websites with less gilt, & guilt, though i don't know just how competitive Boulder's international post charges are, now that they operate web-based sales only. Please let me know of better deals if you know of any, and the address to send to is aforandy@uwclub.net It would be a good idea to click on this anyway and send anything, so as I can register yourselves on the new PC.

Manifest Destiny and Grand Illusion look interesting. Presently I am waiting for Friedrich and Ys.

My father died as the result of a fall whilst playing golf on March 28th. This was a most unusual accident, in which ill-health did not play a role. He was 82.

The email address for DGG is now aforandy@uwclub.net

THE INSTRUCTIONS: Email me with games required, I send them, then I bill, you send a cheque thereafter, made out to me, A DAGLISH. Games are German editions.

Ideal order comprises a list of games required and a postal address to

aforandy@uwclub.net

which is the new broadband address.
You can use
aforandy@aol.com for a while, but occasionally incoming emails are blocked.

I may occasionally look at
aforandi@hotmail.com

Every delivery has a black & gold vinyl return address label which serves as cheque payment information.
Its best to open packs by peeling off the brown tape, of which there will be a lot.

Postage rates are shown on
www.royalmail.com
Recent changes mean that most orders will now fall into the 8 pound 2-4kg range. 1-2kg is charged at 4 pounds.
